Startup Alley is an exhibition area created for startups to showcase innovative products and solutions. EMERGE will have its own Startup Alley and in this post, we are sharing with you some tips & tricks on how to make the most of it. We've put together some best practices, gave them our EMERGE touch and here they are — 5 ideas on how to make Startup Alley experience work for you.

1. MOM'S TEST

Conferences are a bit of a mess. Make sure you explain your idea in an easy-to-understand way. Even your mom should get what you are busy with 24/7 and spread your story among all your relatives :) If your website link is hard to pronounce — have it in written somewhere at your stand. It will make it easy for guests approaching you to easily access your webpage.

2. BE ACTIVE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Your community might be your potential customers. Do share with them your progress and key achievements of your team. Word of mouth keeps flourishing:) In the run-up to EMERGE, you can download our free "Meet us at EMERGE" template to post it on your social media just before the conference and turn your stand into a meeting point with potential partners, clients & friends. Your stand will have its number and will be shown on the venue scheme in our Matchmaking App.

3. COMMUNICATION IS KING

Be brave to initiate a conversation. Standing nearby and staring at your phone will not get you to an investment round. Be proactive and communicate with the many great minds you will meet at the arena. Hey, and make sure there is always someone from your team at the stand:)

4. STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD

Startup Alley at EMERGE will be a home for 120 startups from 20+ countries for two conference days (4–5 June). The stands are similar for all the teams, so use all your imagination and business flair to bring some uniqueness and make the crowd remember you. Yes, even such a small thing as funny stickers will be useful.

5. ASK FOR FEEDBACK

If you plan to go global with your business — it is your moment to ask for feedback from a diverse audience. Don't be shy:) Be curious about not only their opinion on your product but also whether they are ready to pay for it. Try to focus on what they say, what stops them from purchasing it, where they have doubts. Consider both positive and negative feedback which will help you to make the next steps in your business development.
All Startups who got confirmation of eligibility after going through the application process before 16 May will be able to showcase their products in the Startup Alley on 4–5 June.
General Stand is included in a Startup Pass. It comes with 2 sockets and access to WiFi. Your stand will also have a logo, company description, website, number of the stand. Startup stand appears as follows:
