TERMS & CONDITIONS

EMERGE is organized by EMERGE GLOBAL VENTURES LTD (registered in England and Wales under no. 11745786. Registered Address: 85 Great Portland street, First Floor, London, W1W 7LT), whose main business is organising startup and technology conferences. Hereafter referred as "EMERGE".

This document sets the terms and conditions between EMERGE and You, when you purchase a ticket, register an organisation or an individual, accept an invitation, sign a partner agreement, use any of our platforms or attend the event or conference organised by EMERGE. By purchasing a ticket or registering for an event or conference organised by EMERGE, You are agreeing to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions. You should read this document carefully. EMERGE reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any amended terms and conditions will be posted to emergeconf.io website. This updated version of terms and conditions for EMERGE is applicable from 15.12.2022.


DECLARATION OF CONSENT

You give permission for EMERGE to collect, process and use all of the data you provide in EMERGE platforms. This information will be used for the purposes of processing ticket sales and compiling attendee lists. The attendee lists can be used and published on our website and EMERGE platforms and emails will be added to our database, which includes all past and current attendees. Note that photos and videos that are taken at the event will be used for marketing and other promotional purposes by EMERGE. If you do not wish for your name, photograph, country where based and company name to appear on the attendee list please email hello@emergeconf.io .


EVENTS

It is strictly forbidden for any company, organisation or attendee to attempt to host or organise any event in conjunction with, contiguous to or purporting to be related to EMERGE without the permission of EMERGE.


TICKETS

All prices indicated on the emergeconf.io website include all the taxes applied to EMERGE in accordance with the legislation of the United Kingdom.

All tickets are personal and must be assigned to an attendee, and all required attendee details must be 100% complete at least 5 days before the event. EMERGE is not obligated to reassign tickets after this date. If you fail to provide details as required in a timely fashion, EMERGE is not obligated to provide the event badge to You.

Discounted tickets are only valid in combination and/or in conjunction with an authorised identification qualifying for discount. This must be presented at badge pick-up and shown on request to gain admission to the event venue. If no such verification is provided, the purchased ticket is invalid, and the person will not be granted access to the event.

All payments must be made in Euros (EUR), Sterling pounds (GBP) or other currency equivalent to the price shown on the website, alternative payment via cryptocurrency is also possible via the emergeconf.io website. Admission to the event or conference will not be granted without full payment received prior to the event.


REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

All purchased tickets for EMERGE conference and events are entirely non-refundable. However, it is possible to allocate the ticket to a third party if the ticket has been fully paid. The allocation is possible if made at least 5 days before the event. It is not possible to change the person or organisation liable for the payment.

The tickets purchased are for your own personal use or that of your business only and may not be re-sold or transferred for commercial gain under any circumstances. Where there has been any re-sale or attempted re-sale of any tickets (or any other breach of this term), we reserve the right to cancel the relevant tickets with immediate effect without refund.

EMERGE will not be liable for the granting of any VISAs that are required to attend any event or conference. In the event that an attendee's VISA is not granted, tickets will not be refunded for any event or conference.

It is possible that EMERGE may not be available at any given time due to (a) power or server outages or issues (b) update or maintenance periods (c) as a result of war, acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake or other natural disasters; (d) epidemic or pandemic; (e) terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots, war, the threat of or preparation for war, armed conflict, imposition of sanctions, embargo, or breaking off of diplomatic relations; (f) nuclear, chemical or biological contamination or sonic boom; (g) any law or any action taken by a government or public authority or restrictions due to the presidential election; (h) collapse of buildings, fire, explosion or accident; (i) any labour or trade dispute, strikes, industrial action or lockouts; (j) non-performance by suppliers or subcontractors; (k) interruption or failure of utility service and/or (l) electronic or communications failure. We will take reasonable efforts to provide you with notice of interruption to the Conference. Where the Conference is unavailable for reasons beyond our control, we shall have no liability to you.

If the event is being cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (force majeure), ticket holders will be offered a replacement ticket for the new dates. EMERGE does not hold itself liable for any other expenses incurred. EMERGE strives to notify its customers of force majeure cases as quickly as possible.

TERMS OF PAYMENT

EMERGE uses Tito ticket platform to process the tickets and Stripe payment system to process the payments. Tito is registered in Ireland (Company Number: 566334) having its registered business address at 64 Dame Street, Dublin 2, Ireland. Stripe is an U.S. American limited liability company having its registered business address at 3180 18th St, San Francisco, CA 94110, United States.

The following methods of payment are available in the online store: Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard & American Express). Group orders to EMERGE can also be paid by invoice upon separate agreement.

The customer receives an automatically generated registration confirmation. This confirmation should be kept for possible future reference. The customer must store the order confirmation and order code securely and protect them against unauthorised access. EMERGE may request verification of payment for the purpose of resolving possible disputes about the purchase.

Credit cards
Stripe is the product vendor for orders paid with Visa, MasterCard & American Express. The parties of the transaction are the customer and Stripe. Consequently, Stripe is responsible for all related obligations, and is the recipient of the payment.

Payment by invoice
Payment by invoice is available for corporate and group bookings upon request. The invoice will be sent to you separately, and it will contain all necessary information for payment of the order. The term of payment is 3 days. The price per ticket issued in the invoice is based on the exact price published on the emergeconf.io website on the day of issuing the invoice. If the invoice is not paid in time and prices on the emergeconf.io website change, the new invoice will be issued with updated prices.


BADGE PICK-UP

A badge must be picked up before entering the event. An order confirmation alone is not sufficient to access the event. The badge pick-up locations and opening hours will be communicated on the emergeconf.io website and by email at least 1 week prior to the event. When picking up the badge, the customer must show the order confirmation provided by e-mail as well as a valid picture ID. In the case of group order, the dedicated contact person can pick up the entire order.

Every ticket can be converted into an event badge once. Once the event badge is printed, EMERGE is no longer obligated to make any changes. You agree to carry a photo identification with You at all times during the event. You agree to show such identification upon request. If no such verification can be provided, we reserve the right to cancel the relevant tickets with immediate effect without refund.


EMERGE NAME AND LOGO

Registering for and attending the conference does not grant You any rights to use the name of EMERGE or any of its logos without permission granted by EMERGE.


AGE LIMIT

All attendees under 18 years of age ("Youth Attendees")* can request a special discount and can only attend the day time programme. All attendees under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. Children under 7 years of age are admitted free of charge and must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Documentation for the authorisation of the Youth Attendee's attendance prior to registration/accreditation collection may be required**, including but not limited to:
Copy of passport or other identification for both the Youth Attendee and the adult chaperone(s);
Copy of the Youth Attendee's birth certificate; and Notarized letter of consent signed by a legal guardian or both parents (or by a single parent with accompanying proof of sole custody).

*Date of birth prior to date of ticket collection
**We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone who fails to comply with these documentation requirements


EVENT CANCELLATION, POSTPONEMENT & SUBSTITUTION POLICY

EMERGE is not responsible for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of substitution, alteration, cancellation or postponement of an event. In the event of an unexpected incident independent of EMERGE, EMERGE reserves the right to make changes to the date and time for all parts of the event at least one week prior to the event. In the case of rescheduling of an event, the cardholder's ticket may be returned by a deadline determined by EMERGE however, preferably immediately after the announcement of the new event date. After the deadline has expired, EMERGE will not receive any claims for reimbursement. EMERGE reserves the right to make changes to the events at a date less than one week before, if there is a justified reason such as an unexpected problem with the location, or if a speaker is prevented from participating.

Please note that while speakers and topics are confirmed at the time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of the organisers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. As such, EMERGE reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers and/or topics if necessary without any liability to you whatsoever. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on our web page as soon as possible.


LIABILITY

EMERGE will not be liable for any loss, injury or damage to any person or property however caused before, after or during the events or conferences.

EMERGE is not responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen. Each participant must make provision for his or her own insurance.

You consent to film and sound recording as attendees at any event or conference.

EMERGE reserves the right to refuse admission to any event or conference for any behaviour, which it deems unacceptable, or for breach of these terms and conditions.
