Over the past 60 years the world has experienced massive sized computers reduced to the size of a mobile phone power and connectivity beyond what any civilian could have imagined. The future is literally in our pockets, yet so few know how to actually manage, handle, or optimize technology. At the same time that technology has skyrocketed, so has diseases, especially preventable diseases such as stress, heart disease, digestive and sleep disorders. It’s estimated that 95% of the non-communicable diseases that are prevalent today are preventable through lifestyle changes. Many of the lifestyle changes that we need to make in order to insure good health and optimal quality of life rely on a change of perception about who we are, the stories we tell about ourselves, and an ability to discern what it really is that we want in our lives. The future of wellbeing for each of us an individuals will have to include proper use of technology, a new view on the nature of reality, and an understanding of what leadership for the 21st century looks like. Deepak Chopra has been meditating, writing, speaking and innovating on all of these ideas for the past four decades.
