Selection Days is the final step in the Selection process (there are 3 steps before that) for an Acceleration Program at Rockstart, where only 25 startups out of 500+ applications from the whole world get a chance to be invited.
At Selection Days, the winner(s) of this Prize will pitch their company in front of the Rockstart Investment Committee and meet a part of their network. Together with a group of investors & mentors (experienced entrepreneurs and industry specialists), legal team, HR and technical experts, the Rockstart team will do the due diligence of the participating projects to get a clear image of the team, product, and market. 10 startups will be selected to join an acceleration program either in the Netherlands or Denmark (depending on the startup's domain).
Rockstart will cover transportation and accommodation costs for the winners to participate at Selection Days.

Rune Theill, CEO of Rockstart, is coming at EMERGE on 3–5 June and will give a speech on the GROWTH stage about the stop factors for founders from Eastern Europe on their way to scaling up globally. Additionally, he will participate in the mentorship program on Founders Day for startups.
Professional experience:
Rune has more than 8 years of experience in building ecosystems for entrepreneurs. In 2012, he moved to Amsterdam to co-found Rockstart. During his time at Rockstart, he had a leading role in sourcing, selecting, and accelerating startups across the domains of Emerging Tech, Energy, Health, and AgriFood. At Rockstart, Rune took the position as the CEO in 2016.
